We often get questions like, “How do I join your ARC Team?” “What is a CORE Shipper?” and “Can I get a paperback?” So, we thought we’d set aside a spot here to answer all those and give you links to all things book-launch for Savannah Scott.
If you can’t find what you need here, feel free to email Savannah at SavannahScottAuthor@gmail.com.
Question: “How do I join one of your launches?”
Savannah Scott opens launches for most of her books. The announcement for launch team (ARC Team) openings is posted on an Instagram post, in her Facebook Sweet Reader group, and in her Newsletter. If you follow Savannah at one of these three places, you will be notified when a new ARC Team application is open.

Question: “What is a “Shipper?”
The term “Shipper” was coined in 2023 by Michelle Angus, a member of Savannah’s launch team. It was inspired by the first romcom series Savannah wrote, The Getting Shipped series. In the broadest sense of the word, a Shipper is anyone who loves Savannah Scott books. Specifically, each launch team is referred to as “Shippers,” so if we’re launching a book like He’s So Not My Valentine, we’ll say that team is the HSNMV Shippers. (Using the initials in the title of that book). Savannah loves her Shippers and she shows that love with giveaways and shout outs, cross-sharing posts, and trying to pour into each member of her team each launch.
Question: “What is a CORE ARC Team, and can I join?”
After a few years of re-forming the ARC Team from scratch for each book, in early 2023, Savannah approached a group of about 100 readers who had been on multiple launches and constantly shared her books, even outside launches. That group became known as the CORE Shippers because they are at the heart of launching, sharing sales and promotions, and being hype-girls for Savannah Scott. This group is limited to around 100 people.
Occasionally spots open to become one of the CORE Team members. In order to be considered for a spot on the CORE Team, readers need to have launched a few books with Savannah and have been consistent in sharing and reviewing those books.
CORE Team members can always opt-out of any given launch or promotion, but the idea is that these women are all-in. They want to share sale days, feature weeks, and yes, even celebrate National Corn on the Cob day every year (aka Bordeaux Days from the Getting Shipped Series).
Question: “If I’m on the CORE ARC Team, do I have to re-apply for each launch?”
No. Once you are on the CORE Team, you are automatically included in each launch. What you do have to do is opt-in. We never want to assume you are available and interested in being in each and every launch, so we give you the option. As a CORE Team member, you will receive a link to an opt-in form for each launch. Once you fill that out, you’re in. If a given launch or feature week or sale day isn’t interesting or possible for you, simply don’t opt in.
There’s only one small caveat about being on CORE Team. If you are on CORE Team and you consistently opt out, we’ll approach you and ask if you would be willing to move to a launch-by-launch applicant spot so someone more available and invested can take your spot on the CORE Team. There’s nothing wrong with any level of involvement in Savannah Scott launches. We appreciate ALL of it. We just want to reserve CORE Team member spots for the most invested and available readers.
Question: “How do you communicate with your launch team?”
Savannah (and her personal assistant, Tricia) interact with launch team members by weekly emails, on a designated Instagram thread, and through a page on the Savannah Scott website. Launch team members constantly comment on our good communication. We prioritize being clear and keeping you in the loop when you help launch one of Savannah’s books.
Question: “What is a Traveling ARC Team?”
Every launch, we pick five bookstagrammers to receive paperback copies of the new release. They each form a team of five readers, including themselves. The book is passed from person to person with annotations, photos, and other fun things happening along the way. At the end, a drawing is held to see which member of each of the five teams keeps the book. We also do a little contest between the teams and give the winning team an exclusive zoom call and each member of the winning team gets a $5 Amazon egift card.
Question: “How long is a launch team commitment for one book?”
Each launch lasts six weeks. Of course, you aren’t doing something all those weeks. We start with cover reveal for the book and sharing a pre-order link if there is one, along with sharing any pre-order specials like bundles. Then we send out the ebook to ALL ARC Team members (ebook, paperback and Traveling Team members). Team members share along the way on designated days and during launch week. The connection between all of us as a launch team officially closes at three weeks after launch. Though, traveling ARCs go on for longer than that.
Question: “When is your next launch?”
We are currently preparing to launch Catch A Wave, a second-chance, older-brother’s-best-friend, forced proximity romcom. The launch date is March 15th, and the applications for launch team participation are open Feb 6-8 HERE.
Core Team Members can opt-in to the Catch a Wave launch HERE. (CORE TEAM ONLY, Please).
